Biography

 

He was born in 1981. He graduated from the Department of History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade in 2005. He received M.A. degree at the same faculty in 2008. In 2013, he defended his Ph.D. thesis: Serbia, Bulgaria and the Tartars in the Second Half ot the 13th Century. He received annual scholarships from the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia (2006-08, 2009-10) and the Republic of Bulgaria (2007); participated in numerous conferences, mainly in Bulgaria and Russia; lecturer at summer school Hungarian tradition (Magyar Örökség) in Barót, Romania (2015);member of the editorial board of the Golden Horde Review, published by Institute Marjani, Kazan. He works in the Institute of History since 2010.

 

Fields of Research: Late-medieval nomads in South-Eastern Europe, Golden Horde, medieval travelers, Medieval Serbia, Serbian-Bulgarian relations.
